BPCLC Member Survey

When the Bipartisan Pro-Choice Legislative Caucus (BPCLC) was founded, it was at a time when threats to abortion rights were looming. Although abortion rights are now under direct attack, the work of the BPCLC has expanded over time to meet changing needs; to reflect the importance of equity and access; and to address a broader spectrum of reproductive health issues. Therefore, it is an appropriate time to rename the Caucus to reflect this evolution.

The following are five proposed names for the Caucus.
The mission of the BPCLC is to protect reproductive rights across the state, and provide a voice for pro-choice state legislators in policy debates at both the state and national level.
Do you think the mission statement effectively reflects and communicates the work of the BPCLC?
If you responded "no" or "partially," please explain what changes to the mission statement would be helpful:
Is there work that you would like the BPCLC to focus on based on the current circumstances (reproductive rights landscape, the majority of conservative justices on the Supreme Court, New York's role as leader in the U.S., access to abortion and contraception under attack)?
If you responded yes to the above question, what work do you think the BPCLC should be doing?
What types of BPCLC events and advocacy do you or would you find useful?
